| Iichiko Silhouette is one of Japan's most recognisable barley (mugi) shochu, produced by Sanwa Shurui in Oita from 100% two-row barley and white koji. Using a proprietary low-pressure (gen-atsu) distillation method, it achieves an exceptionally light, delicate character — a barely-there floral and berry aroma leading into a smooth, near-neutral palate with a faint floral finish. Its gentle profile has earned Iichiko Silhouette a Gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, and makes it one of the most approachable ways to discover honkaku shochu.
