Kitaoka Honten has brewed sake since 1868 at the entrance to the Yoshino-Kumano National Park in southern Nara Prefecture. Using low-iron, well-balanced mountain water, the brewery crafts its signature Yatagarasu range, named after a mythical three-legged sacred bird.
